Too Lazy for Pics

I know...another entry without a pic.  How boring is that?  Actually, I've just been extremely tired/busy, and every time I remember my camera, it's locked away in Laea's room and she's asleep.  So, here are some updates to help me remain sane...

  • Dryer broke.  Spent a fortune and replaced it with one that plays a pretty song when each cycle is finished.
  • Water heater broke.  Because of aforementioned dryer purchase, no money is left to replace the 23-27 yr old water heater.  Getting used to taking girls to g'ma's for baths and taking 3 minute showers myself.
  • Seat belt broke in 2nd row of vehicle.  Dodge refused to cover the cost ($50 for parts, $150 for labor), so I texted my mechanically inclined cousin who is supposed to fix it for a lot less...I hope.
  • Took Praxis II, English literature & composition content knowledge, in order to get Indiana teaching license, just in case I need to work full-time and thereby would be able to at least apply to work at the girls' school.  (Not sure what might break next at this rate...) Too lazy to get PhD, so this is likely the only full-time teaching option with good vacation schedule.  Prayed a lot, coughed a bit, and scored 199 out of 200.  I suddenly don't feel I get paid enough.
  • Attempted first sleepover for Snugglebug.  Success!  She, Lovely, and their friend seemed to have a lot of fun getting facials and foot massages, painting magnets, and playing around.  Went to bed before the girls fell asleep.  They were all accounted for in the morning, so I'm pretty sure they stayed in doors while I slept.  At least the dog wasn't shaved or anything in the morning ;-)
  • Laea's first tooth came in about a week ago.  I wish all teething was so easy!  Her attitude never changed despite the slight cold she had/has and the rough surface of a tooth protruding through her gums.
  • Although extremely ill with coughing and feeling sick to my stomach, I made two games for my nephew's fiance's bridal shower.  Each guest had to hold up mustaches or tiaras, depending on their answer.  Turned out pretty cute.
  • Started 1st summer class Tues.  Teaching 3 hrs straight is a lot to handle for this ole gal, but it's a small, engaging class, so should be able to get through remaining 11 classes.
I still have a lot of to-do's left on my list for this month and next, but I'm taking it one day at a time.  It's either that or lock myself in my room.  After all, "The Yellow Wallpaper" was always one of my favorite stories...
